We welcome all submissions from IU East students to Tributaries, A Journal of Creative Work. You are welcome to submit more than once, and we encourage you to create a Submittable account of your own. We thank you for sending us your work, and urge you to keep working!

NOTE: You MUST be an IU East student in order to submit your work. Non-students' work will not be considered.

We consider prose of up to 8,000 words in length, and we prefer manuscripts that are double-spaced in 11 or 12 point font with numbered pages, formatted as either .pdf or .doc files. Translations are welcome.

NOTE: Tributaries does NOT accept fanfiction. If you submit fanfiction knowingly, or try to pass off a fanfic as something original, your submission will be rejected.

We consider prose of up to 8,000 words in length, and we prefer manuscripts that are double-spaced in 11 or 12 point font with numbered pages, formatted as either .pdf or .doc files. Translations are welcome.
Please send no more than 6 poems per submission, and do not send more than 4 poems if longer than 3 pages each. We prefer manuscripts that are double-spaced in 11 or 12 point font with numbered pages, formatted as either .pdf or .doc files. Translations are welcome.
Paintings, photographs, comics, and drawings are welcome. In lieu of originals, please send high-resolution digital images of work (JPEG or PNG). Visual works must also be publishable in black and white, however, when funding allows may be published in full color. NOTE: If you are unable to take high-resolution photos, our Visual Arts Editor can assist you with that. Please contact either Kaylyn Flora (knflora@imail.iu.edu) or Dani Standley (dstandle@iue.edu) to set up a time to have the pictures taken.
